The European Nations Championship was founded in 2004 and has become the one tournament to find the best national team in European eSport. Since then, most of Europe's countries fight once a year for honor, prestige and also money. The chosen games right from the start were Counter-Strike and Warcraft 3. Later - in 2005 - games such as the FIFA series and Unreal Tournament 2k4 followed.

Last year's finalists went to Games Convention in Leipzig, Germany to contend for a total prize money of 50,000 €. The only European Nations Champions up to now are Sweden and Germany who also both won every final match they reached. Because of the great audience and location we decided to again have this year's finals at the Games Convention in Leipzig. So the best national teams will fight for gold at the world's largest game exhibition. Have a look at the pictures from 2006:
