Step 1 (Get an ESL account):

All you need to have to participate and signup is an ESL Account that you can register easily and free of charge. Just state your nickname and a valid email adress and complete the registration process. If you want to take part in the CS tournament as a team you also need a team account and have leader permissions for this account.

If you already have a team or player account at the ESL, you can of course use it and do not have to create a new one. Check out this FAQ for a detailed description of how to register and enter the required information.

Step 2 (Filling your profiles with information):

Fill up your account with all relevant information. All this information can be hidden from the public (except the real name).

Full Name
Birthday (including year of birth)
Address (City)
MSN or ICQ (only one of those required)
IRC Channel
Photo/teamlogo
Game Accounts (Steamid)/(Name of your Battle.net Account AND GG Client Account)

For CS teams it's a litte more complicated because you need to make sure that EVERY member is registered in your ESL team account. Also 3 members of the team have to be from the same country as the qualifier the team is applying for and you have to have three people of that same country during the matches.

Useful hint for managers. Look in the "members" section of your team account to see the status of your individual members. There you can see who already entered his Game Account.
