Man on the Spot: Sky

This man needs no introduction for anyone who has not been hiding in a cave the past 4 years.
Sky, two times world champion and winner of numerous other leagues and tournaments, is an icon for Chinese gaming and one of the most successful Warcraft III players of all time. Although his team finished a disappointing 4th place in
last season's playoffs, Sky did not lose a match himself and will be aiming to repeat his solid performance again in the upcoming season.
Manager on the spot: HoTLiPs

WC3L asked WE manager
HoTLiPs a few questions and he was kind enough to answer:
WC3L.Myth: To kick off with, what you do think about your team's performance last season, both in the regular league and the playoffs?
WE.HoTLiPs: Our online performance during the regular season was quite good because we prepared really hard for every single match including replay analysis of other players and specific practice for the given maps. Also our line-ups were really good most of the time and we got a couple of nice hosts who didn't hesitate to help us any time. In contrast to our regular season was our performance at the finals. To sum it up, those finals were the worst we ever played and we did expect anything but that. We started with really high expectation ended up with a really disappointing 4th place and I'm really sorry for all the fans that we let down.
WC3L.Myth: Last season's aftermath saw several top teams disbanding, with new teams taking their place. What is your opinion on this, the new teams, and how do you think it will affect your results this season?
WE.HoTLiPs: I always like to meet new faces and teams and I warmly welcome them to attend the new season. But to be honest, I think that it is a way too much now especially after mousesports leaving the league because the average level isn't that high anymore. I just hope that those new teams understand what it means to play WC3L and be as professional as the oldies of the league. Regarding our results, I think that it won't affect us too much except the fact that there will be some problematic matches due to the connection between China and Europe, and especially with players from Russia.
WC3L.Myth: What are your predictions for the top finishers at the end of the regular season?
WE.HoTLiPs: Well, since only the top 2 really matters due to the direct qualification, I would say that mTw, Sk, mYm and WE will fight for these two spots but who finally will come out on top, that is something we will see after the last playday.
WC3L.Myth: What do you and your team think about the two new maps, MV and AI? Have you practiced on them yet?
WE.HoTLiPs: I like to see new maps in the league and I think WC3L made a quite good choice here adding two new maps and not removing other maps due to balance issues. However, due to our busy schedule lately with ESWC and WCG qualification and a lot of other tournaments we didn't practice AI yet, but all players should know MV quite good from the last PGL season. In a couple of days we will start our practice for the new season and therefore also prepare for the news maps and players.
WC3L.Myth: Thanks for your time and good luck in the new season! Any shoutouts?
WE.HoTLiPs: Thanks for the short interview and a big shoutout to all WE fans who are the best in the whole world! Thanks to our sponsors Pepsi, Intel, Razer, Kingston, nVidia, Gigabyte, Kappa and Replays.Net who just give a great support.
