Season Outlook
fnatic is definitely one of the favorites for the playoffs spot. Last season they acquired
Clan Go and reunited them with their friends from
MYM -
Shy and
FoCuS. The players in
fnatic are a close bunch of friends with a really high team spirit and strong atmosphere during clanwars. While they lack most of the star names that you will find in other teams, they have the power of youth. In only their first LAN performance at the Road of the King they finished a respectable top four.
A nagging problem for
fnatic might be in their fourth soloist spot which has yet to be filled up by a strong player.
MinHyuk has developed a lot, but even he will find it hard this season, so
fnatic will have to rely on the underused yet potent combination of
Shy and
FoCuS in 2on2 and in solo while looking to
Space to consolidate their point scoring, either way
fnatic will be a tough cookie to crack for most teams.
Man on the Spot: Shy
Shy, team captain and inspirational member of the team, leads from the front in 2on2 and in solo, his recent finishes in solo tournaments has been somewhat impressive and while he had a more demure role in
MYM, he is the first choice for the team on any map.
Coach's Corner: Noname
WC3L.Lychee: Hey Elroy, lets start this team preview by taking a look at your last seasons games you finished in eighth place. How do you plan to cope with the number of good teams from last and this season?
fnatic.Noname: Hello! On paper its pretty easy to say we had a bad last season because the team at that time lacked good soloists and kept playing around with the team's 2on2. In the last 3 playdays that we added Shy and FocuS and became fnatic we scored more points than we did in the whole season. Granted it won't be easier this time, I think we've prepared a lot for the WC3L and more than anything I am looking forward to this season.
WC3L.Lychee: Do you think you will struggle or find some problems due to the lack of a good fourth soloist?
fnatic.Noname: Hard to say, MinHyuk has been really brilliant in the WPL playoffs so far for us, and even last season he scored a bunch of points for us in many games that he wasn't the favorite in but he's a little inconsistent so far I am pretty sure though that this WC3L season should help us find our 4th soloist who can back the big 3 up. It can be Kei or can be MinHyuk, let's see!
WC3L.Lychee: Which team would you watch out for the most during this season when you play them?
fnatic.Noname: I'd have to say MYM the most, they are such a great team and have immense experience in the WC3L that it's really like going up against a giant into battle, they have the experience and the results and I believe we are capable of taking them on in terms of individual matches are concerned but I think we are still not as experienced as they are in the WC3L.
WC3L.Lychee: Ok, again thanks for your time, I appreciate it. Any final words?
fnatic.Noname: Yes, I'd like to say a big Hi! to my team, I'd like to thank everyone who supports fnatic.wc3 please continue to do so and we won't disappoint you. Thanks to our sponsors - SteelSeries, BestPoker, UGAME & CoolerMaster and our Chinese partners - China Esport Athletes & ESP Cafe.
