Season XIII review

Stats: 5 Wins, 6 Losses, 27:28 Submatches

Last season, Team ALTERNATE was one of the underdogs contending in the WC3L Main Season. However, one really must admit that both Marc 'yaWs' Förster and Stefan 'dArk' Lehmann played really well in their 1on1s and 2on2s.
In the end, this really payed out as they were voted to be Rookie of the Season. This time around, it does not get easier for the German youngsters, and it will be their task to secure a safe spot for Team ALTERNATE; maybe even a playoffs spot?!

Nevertheless, no team can really perform to it's fullest with only two players. After losing Benjamin 'DeMuslim' Baker to nGize it is questionable, whether these two players can dodge the pressure, or Alternate improves their roster with more German or international players.

Interview

Luckily, we were able to get hold of the team manager of Team Alternate, mace:

WC3L.Jupe: Hi, mace. It's good to have you here. What is your overall feeling and your team's motivation now, that the WC3L is about to start?
aTTaX.mace: Hi Jupe. For our team it’s pretty good, that the WC3L will start soon now. We had a break from almost all leagues during the past 1 or 2 months, so our players had some time to relax and not think about Warcraft that much. But now that the leagues start again one by one, their motivation is getting higher and higher. We held a bootcamp lately and they are training more and more now.

WC3L.Jupe: After missing the offline finals by just one clanwar, what are your expectations for this season?
aTTaX.mace: First of all we missed out the playoffs only with one point, however we are very satisfied with the last season, because we achieved more than we have expected. Therefore our goals for the next season didn’t changed in comparison to the last WC3L season. So we want to reach the playdowns again.

WC3L.Jupe: For the second season now, your core roster seems unchanged, but will you strive for more players, after the departure of DeMusliM?
aTTaX.mace: As you have said, we don’t intend to change our core roster, because we have played for more than 1,5 years together (except XlorD). But, of course, the loss of DeMuslim was very hard for us, because he was a pretty good player. Therefore we have some plans to substitute him.

WC3L.Jupe: Then I would like to thank you for your time. Is there anything left for you to say?
aTTaX.mace: Thank you too for the interview! And I’d like to greet all our fans out there and I'd like to thank the company ALTERNATE for all their support!
