Due the inactivity and small size of the Unreal Tournament 3 scene we have decided to not run another season of ESL Major Series for the game. Season II will be the last time Unreal Tournament is included in the ESL Major Series unless maybe a new game is released.

Finally the final match of the UT3 ESL Major Series is coming on this Sunday at 20:00 CEST. H2k Gaming will challenge Team Dignitas, who are coming from the winner bracket. So H2k needs to win two match ups to get the crown of the UT3 ESL Major Series.

The third season of the ESL Major Series will feature UT3 1on1. 16 players will fight for 750€ prizemoney. Eight players will be invited and eight slots will be filled with players from qualifiers. The Season will start in early September 2008 and the qualifiers will take part a few days before the start of the season.

The second groupstage of the ESL UT3 Major Series is ready to rumble. 16 Teams will fight for the eight playoff slots and the chance for 1.500€ prize money and hardware prizes worth even more money. There will be four groups with each four teams and the best two teams will advance to the playoffs.

Only 2 days left until the end of Season 1 and still 31 teams are participating in the TDM League. On Monday we will see which eight teams will form the first Division of the second Season, while the next teams will be sorted into the second division. Nearly eight teams are still fighting for four slots in the first division.

Groupstage 1 with 30 teams is ready to roll and first matches will be played in two weeks. The groupstage consists of eight groups, six with four teams and two with three teams. All teams have one match a week and the matches are forced to different dates. They can only be rescheduled if both teams agree to do so.

A lot of teams requested it and here it is; the first Unreal Tournament 3 league. For this league we thought about a special system, because often teams drop during a league which takes over several weeks and we wanted to avoid that. So we will use a mixture of a Ladder, where teams can always leave and join and a premiership with fixed playdays. Each season of the league will last eight weeks and after eight weeks teams can drop to lower divisions or advance to higher divisions. There are no seedings at the beginning; all teams will be in one division for the first eight weeks.

This weekend the next of our Quick Cups is approaching, a 4on4 TDM cup. In preperation of the ESL Major Series we are going to run a 4on4 TDM Quick Cup with the EMS mappool on this Sunday, 17th February. The cup will start at 18:00 CET and there will be space for 16 teams. It will also use check in to make sure that the teams are really available who appear in the tournament bracket. The settings will be exactly the same as for the EMS 4on4 TDM part, but the mappool of the cup will be focused on the custom maps, so the teams can learn those new maps.

The sign up is closed and 64 Teams will battle for 32 slots in the first Groupstage of EMS Season II. The Qualification Round will consist of a 64 teams double elimination bracket, the team who wins two matches advances to the groupstage 1.

Our sixth Quick Cup will be held on this Sunday afternoon and evening. It will be another 1on1 Duel Cup and the final will be broadcasted live on Giga eSports. Each round will be played best of three in the UT3 duel mode. A maximum of 64 participants can take part in the race for the Quick Cup #6 crown.

It's about time to put the maps the community's brilliant level designers have created since the release of "Unreal Tournament 3" on the testing stage and that's exactly what we'll do tomorrow from 18:00h cet to 22:00h cet in the official ESL "Unreal Tournament 3" Custom Map Cup.

The EMS Season II Sign Ups for UT3 are ready - sign up and qualify for the ultimative UT3 challenge. The second Season of the EMS Season will be played in the well known Clanwar system, which was already used in the UT Champions League and Major League Unreal. There will be a nice qualification system which allows all teams to get a chance to join the EMS.

UT3 fans listen up, because tonight, ESL TV will be broadcasting one of the semi-final matches of the ESL UT3 2on2 TDM WinterCup. The broadcast will start at 22:00 h CET and will be moderated by Ulrich "FlyingDJ" Schulze who will guide you through an amazin match of the new star of the shooter-scene, Unreal Tournament 3.

Tuesday night is the night for the third UT3 Quick Cup, this time it is 1on1 DM again. 64 Players will have the chance to battle out another 1on1 champion, the first rounds will be best of one, but semi-final and final will be best of three. Check In will start at 18.30 cet and the first round will be 19.00 cet.

Tonight at 20.00 cet the 2on2 Cup will kick off, 32 teams can participate in the cup. At the moment the sign up is still running until 19.30, when the teams have to check in for the tournament. Each round will be best of three and the tournament will run until Monday, 17th December. The winning team will get two black UT3 Longsleeve Shirts.

The first Quickcup in UT3 was just finished and had a worthy winner in Ulrich "BigDaddy" Scheller from team Mousesports, but as you might have hoped and or expected, this was only the opener for a great series of cups to come. The next quickcup will be held on Sunday but there's also another cup which is to be played next week!

On this Sunday, December 2nd, 2007, we'll start the first of hopefully a great many Quickcups in Unreal Tournament 3. Up to 64 contestants will get the chance to play for honor and an Unreal Tournament 3 longsleeve as well as ESL Premium packages. Be among the first to win an UT3 cup.
