The Guild Wars ESL Major Series just finished and we want to present you the little sister now: ESL Amateur Series (short EAS). It is based on several characteristics of both ladder and league and awards mostly active teams. The Guild Wars 8on8 EAS will run two months and offers cool prizes, worth more than 1.200 Euro!

The ESL Major Series Guild Wars finally found their winner. Whats Going On managed to beat Straight Outta Kamadan in a thrilling best of three. The final match was played live at the EPS Finals XIII in Cologne. The full distribution of the cash and hardware prizes, worth more than 12.000 Euro, can be found in this news!

This weekend the German elite meets in Cologne to find the champions of the ESL Pro Series in CS, CS:Source, Warcraft 3 and FIFA 5on5. As an addition the ESL Major Series Final in Guild Wars between Straight Outta Kamadan and Whats Going On will be played. On Saturday, December 6th, you can see the match from 15:00 to 16:00 CET live on ESL TV!

The league stage ended a few days go and at the end of the day we got the four finalists. The next step is to choose which teams are going to qualify theirselves for the Offline Finals this December in Cologne, Germany. Yesterday evening the final of our Guild Wars Autumn Cup 2008 took place. We are glad to congratulate the 3 best teams for their excellent performance and to present them their deserved prizes. The winner of the cup is "Whats Going On [sup]", congratulation on this great 1st place!

The four best guilds of the groupstage will face each other in the Online Playoffs next week to decide which teams are going to travel to the Offline Finals in Cologne. With eRaise.Gaming we got another Guild leaving the season and so there are only two matches this evening. After a reorganization of the guild Don't Mess With The Don they will from now on participate as Goldcape Or Ragequit in the EMS Season III. Again we have some bad news to announce this week. The guild Esoteric Warriors has left the Guild Wars EMS Season III and won't participate anymore. We wish them good luck on their way. But nevertheless we wish our remaining teams good luck for the fifth playday and we hope it's again full of exciting fights.

There will be 11 matches for each guild to prove their strength. In the end the season's top 2 teams are invited to the Offline Finals at Cologne, Germany.
