The last time we had a look at Amped eSports' Guild Wars world ranking was in June. After this summer's numerous tournaments and cups it is time to check it again. As expected there are still the well-known teams and unfortunately there is still no German team in the world ranking.

We want to know your opinion on modes for future cups. The two new polls provide you with the opportunity to have a say in that. On the one hand we are asking for the optimum cup mode and on the other hand for the seeding size.

The Guild Wars Hall of Fame is getting bigger and bigger and within the last weeks we have added three new features. We have extended the Top 3 to Top 4 and apart from that we have added two new rankings for the Cups and the Premierships. There is on the one hand the Cup Nation Ranking and on the other hand the Cup Team Ranking.

Europe is sweating due to extreme temperatures. The same goes for the Guild Wars section. As soon as the Factions Release Cup will have ended next Sunday, we will have a short summer break. On 1. September we will be back with the qualification for the second International Guild Wars 8on8 championship.

This is actually no surprise as we've already seen some well-known teams from there. This weekend, from July 28 to July 30, players will be able to experience a special sneak preview of our newly-announced game through the Guild Wars Nightfall PVP Preview Event!

The developer ArenaNet has started a beta test which will culminate in an exclusive PvP event from 28. until 31 July. All Guild Wars players are welcome to join and test the two new classes: Dervish and Paragon. Apart from that Nightfall features new areas. During the event players will also be able to compete for items that will be exchangeable for a variety of rewards.

As far as eSports is concerned Guild Wars is getting more and more interesting and now there is even a World Ranking. Together with well-known titles such as Battlefield 2, Quake IV and Halo 2, Guild Wars is now listed in Amped eSports' World Rankings.

At the beginning of May we started a new contest. You were asked to design a wallpaper that features ESL, PvP/GvG and Guild Wars:Factions. There were so many great submissions that we had problems finding the winners, but here they are.

We've seen that many users still need to get used to the recently released Guild Wars: Factions. This results in a lower ladder activity and we've therefore decided to delay the start of the 4on4 Weekend Cup Series until the beginning of June (9.6. – 10.6. 2006).

The entire game specific Guild Wars rules have been updated before the start of the coming tournaments. This had to be done due to the release of Guild Wars:Factions. The new rules are immediately effective.
