Play Mode 2008

In each hosted game 12 participants will play for honor and the prize money. There are two ways to qualify for the European Nations Championship, depending on your country of origin and by it's performance within the last seasons.

All participants for Counter-Strike, Warcraft 3, Counter-Strike:Source and FIFA 08 will be divided into 4 sections. First section means the 6 countries who performed best in the last three seasons of European Nations Championship. They will be directly qualified for the Main Round and do not have to play the qualifier. All the other participants will have to play it. Just like in Intel® Extreme Masters there will be different stages of qualifying. In every stage 12 teams will fight for Top 6 to enter the next round. So after 3 stages we have found the last countries who can showed the best performance.

In the end, 6 participants succeed from the qualifier, joining the other 6 for the final lineup of 12 participants in the European Nations Championship main round. The will be divided into 2 groups with 6 teams and 3 per group have a chance to qualify for the final event. The best team of both groups is directly qualified. Both 2nd placed teams will face the 3rd of the other group in a final elimination for the 2 left spots. So at Games Convention the best 4 teams of European Nations Championship will play a double elimination tree to find out who's the European Nations Champion 2008.
