The Day of Defeat Natios Cup 2008 is about to start. The groups were drawn by lot. We would like to give you the latest information and updates about the cup in this news, so please read it thoroughly.

16 Participants, about 30 matches were played till we got a Winner.

Last christmas we hosted an fancied "Advents Cup". This time we wont host just one cup, we'll host three. Every class, just the most important, get his own cup. So we got the Heavy-Cup, Sniper-Cup and last but not least Light-Cup.

The slogan of the ESL this Summer is "Kampf dem Sommerloch", which means something like, to play against summerinactivity. So we gathered the best european Teams and put them in a league to play each other.

Six out of Sixteen Teams are left in the annual ESL Summercup. So here we go with the Finals. Three games left till we got a Winner.

All matches of the third Week have been played, less and more. Four of six games were decided by Defaultwins, even the game of dotpiXels and my.Revenge, in favour for my.Revenge.

The Electronic Sports League will host the European DoD Championship Cup. For those who dont have any clue, its a Nations Cup. The last European Championship took place two years ago and wasn quite a success. We hope to change it this time and will play with some fresh rules:

This week the European championship in Football kicks off and next to that, the second week in the ESL Summercup starts too.

We were just about to finish the 4th Season of the german ESL Liga, and getting started with the annual Summercup, hosted by the biggest European League, the ESL.

Because of the few matches in the 3on3 ladder we have changed the ladder into 3on3+. Now you can play 3on3, 4on4, 5on5 & 6on6.

We are very sorry, but we have to cancel the Week Cup #1. Only three teams have signed up so far so it does not make sense to let this cup happen.

As announced we are proud to present the new Day of Defeat 1.3 1on1 Ladder. The Ladder is now free to challenge and play. We hope you will have a lot of fun and many fair matches.

Because of the few signups, we changed the Weekend Cup to Week Cup and hope that some more teams will take part in this objective Week Cup. This Week Cup #1 still will be an Objective Cup!

The year 2008 has been started and we are delighted to present you the Winter Cup 2008. The signups are now open.

For 2008, we will start a new series in the ESL Day of Defeat section: the Day of Defeat 6on6 Weekend Cup series. There will be 5 cups over the year plus an additional overall final cup with the winners of the previous cups. This Weekend Cup#1 will be different than the usual cups because it will be an Objective Cup!

The 1on1 cup is over and the winner is ekko. There was some trouble in the first rounds but in the end it was a nice cup. We are proud to say that we can offer you a 1on1 ladder for the next year. A special news will follow in the next weeks.

Lots of players asked for a Day of Defeat 1on1 tournament in the past and now decided to start a cup as a pre christmas gift for you. This sunday, the first Day of Defeat 1on1 cup in the ESL will start and there are already only a few slots left in it.

Due to the lack of activity in the 2on2 and 6on6 ladder, we had to close them down. There were only a few teams left and no matches were played in the past weeks.

Tonight, the final of the 6on6 WinterCup will take place. It will be an all-german final between two popular teams and we expect a tight result. So don't miss this one!

The wintercup is nearing its end. Tomorrow, the semifinals will take place. Two german teams are competing against a danish team and an all-european team. Let's see if the german teams will make it into the final to have an all-german final like in the DoD:S Winter Cup.

Extreme weather has caused severe power problems in huge parts of the United States. The region around Seattle is for the biggest part without power and thus also the Steam login servers, who are located in that area. Further updates will follow but for now you will not be able to log in into steam.

Winter is coming and so do the Day of Defeat 6on6 Winter Cups in the ESL! The tournaments will start in the second week of January 2007. So don't hesitate to sign up! The Signups are open until December, 29th. The groups will be announced a few days later and the tournament will start in the second week of the new year.

Tonight, the final of the ESL Day of Defeat Summercup will take place. The whole tournament has been a big success and the climax will be reached at 20:00.

Tomorrow is wednesday and we are starting the second stage of the ESL Day of Defeat 1.3 SummerCup. Four teams got a defaultwin in this round as a reward for having the highest DeCL score in the groupstage. These teams are awesome.dod, endoflife, eXception and High FiDelity - DoD. The map of this round is dod_lennon_b2, a map where we all have seen matches in which a team got dominated as well as close matches. The map will be played 2x20 minutes as always.
