Rules and Fixes

Today we announce our now ruleset for the PAM mode. After some little bugts in the old and some wishes we change some settings. In the second part we want to introduce you the esports fix.

First of all we want to say thank you to all players which tell use some mistakes in the old v4 ruleset. We fixed it and hope all is now clear. As second we hear some wishes in the hardcore modes which we also changed. and hope the players have now more fun to play in this ladder. The new ruleset takes effect on monday 01.09.08. So you'll need to update your server as soon as possible.

As we want to introduce you the new eSports-Fix. Its a fix which includes the AWP Sniperfix, Scrollfix, Sprinttime Bug-Fix and of course the Nogunsway. During the test phase you can send us a supportticket, if you find something like bugs or if you have questions about it. You can find the fix and the new v5 Ruleset under this text:

Features of the eSports-Fix

* NoGunsway-Fix
This fix removes the gun sway as you already know from the single iwd file.

* AWP-Scope-Fix
The two Boltscopes M40 and R700 now both don't have gun sway. So they are always centered. After shooting you have to aim again. So there is no need to hold breath.

* Scroll-Exploit-Fix
This fix avoids bugusing when setting +attack on mousewheel (up or/and down). Different players tested on several gaming systems and we think we found the perfect setting to stop the advantages coming with this bug without influencing your game-feeling.

* Sprinttime-Bug-Fix
The Sprinttime-Bugfix is already included in PAM Mod, but had to be included. It fixed a bug where it was possible to sprint longer with special weapons than with other weapons.

Please note that this fix is not compatible with pro_mode.

06/09/08 00:18 #33 It's a Ch4nKyy	I didn't refer to myself :> But if u want arguments... here are some: -100 packets: increases delay / lag (especially 4 DSL 1k users like me) -increased weapon damage: feels like HC... makes reaction speed more important than aiming, because a few lucky shots are enough to kill an enemy. In PAM4 you need to make more hits, meaning, you need to focus your target a bit longer, what is more difficult. That differentiated COD from CS, what I really liked. -Every noob can play Scope without holding breath. That's a fact. Wondering why ESL uses this noobfix -.- If an AKu jumps around the corner, I am dead, before I can launch a single bullet of my AK, because of the long delay and the low health. Just download "pbsv.cfg" from your ftp, and put "60" just before "100" (Line with maxpackets) -Increased weapon : I was whining like you when i played Promod the first days. But it's better when u play against czech cfg/connection heroes. On PAM4, u need 4 hits to kill those guyz. On promod, 2, like everybody :) So, everybody has the same hitreg -Scope without holding breath : Tbh, i played with the bind "MOUSE2 "+toggleads_throw; +breath_sprint" I know, it sucks. But is it the same thing as awpfix ? No, cause the Cod4 snipe is bad ! Without the fix, fastscops and unscops are too unprecise. I never had a problem, with fastscops, unscopes and jumpscopes etc. ... I play without any scripts and it damn works very well =)
