The European Nations Championship 2008 Finals, held at the Games Convention in Leipzig, are finished and an exciting event is over. In a very thrilling Counter-Strike match Sweden managed to win against Germany. In Warcraft 3, Germany beat the defending champion Finland and in FIFA Poland won against last year's champion Germany and secured the gold medal. Furthermore, the Czech Republic prevailed in the new discipline Counter-Strike:Source.

Sweden wins versus Germany in the Counter-Strike 1.6 overall final in a thrilling match 16:13! The team with tactic genius cArn won the title and 15,000 Euros prize money. Tomorrow Germany will face Sweden again, but than in Warcraft 3. The FIFA and Counter-Strike: Source tournament is still in the starting phase.

Today, the Russian Warcraft 3 team was unfortunately informed that their visa applications were rejected. This means that we will not see the second-ranked team of Group B during the European Nations Championship Finals 2008 in Leipzig.

By presenting the line-ups of all 16 national teams in the 4 disciplines the final step has been taken. Due to scheduling problems, the French Counter-Strike 1.6 team is unfortunately not able to compete in the European Nations Championship 2008 Finals. In their stead, Spain will face Denmark in the 1st round. As the Spanish team played in the relegation against France, they are the consequential successor of France. We wish both teams the best of luck in their upcoming tournaments.
